Unchanged India bowl first in third ODI

HARARE: India signalled their intent to wrap up the one-day series against Zimbabwe at the first opportunity, shunning experimentation and naming an unchanged side for Sunday's match at Harare Sports Club.

Having easily won the first two games of the five-match series, India were expected to give opportunities to some of the less experienced members of their young squad, but have now maintained the same XI for all three matches.

India captain Virat Kohli won the toss and asked Zimbabwe to bat, ensuring that the hosts faced a difficult opening hour as they looked to bounce back from two disappointing defeats.

Zimbabwe handed an international debut to Michael Chinouya, who replaced fellow fast bowler Kyle Jarvis.

Teams:

Zimbabwe: Brendan Taylor (capt), Vusi Sibanda, Sikandar Raza, Hamilton Masakadza, Sean Williams, Malcolm Waller, Elton Chigumbura, Prosper Utseya, Michael Chinouya, Brian Vitori, Tendai Chatara.

India: Virat Kohli (capt), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik, Ravindra Jadeja, Amit Mishra, Shami Ahmed, Vinay Kumar, Jaydev Unadkat.
